If you are not yet familiar with this great publication then you need to do so immediately. I recently encouraged everyone in my company to either check it out online or be old fashioned like me and anxiously await each Saturday's mail when the mail carrier delivers it.
The Week is without peer. Time, Newsweek or any other weekly magazine cannot compare. The Week captures the news from all viewpoints and from all over the world. There is not one iota of partisan opinion - instead they present all opinions on the issues of the week. It covers hard news, trends, the arts, book and movie reviews, opinion columns from around the globe and even shows great real estate properties available. One of my favorite things is that each cover contains a quote from a famous person telling us what a great magazine it is. The current issue quotes author Daphne Merkin saying, "The Week is an intellectual smorgasboard." I couldn't agree more.
I have always believed it is critical for people in public relations to be well rounded and well grounded in as many subjects as possible. Some in our profession find they want to go deep into a few areas while others of us prefer to be like pinballs and learn about as many as we can. Either way, The Week should be part of your week each and every week.
