Turn the calendar

It's a new day and a new year.  The speed with which time flies in the new millennium seems absurd at times.  But fly it does and our only recourse is to take our time to do the things that are important to us each and every day.

2007 was a year I won't soon forget.  It ended on an incredibly happy note as both my wife Char, and my sister, Debbie, concluded their chemotherapies for colon cancer.  Both have done amazingly well throughout and both have a very positive prognosis.  Our circle of family and friends are thankful for this and grateful to everyone who gave us their thoughts, prayers and support over the year.

So many other things happened in 2007 that impacted the worlds I inhabit every day and to the people who share those worlds with me.  I had two important lessons validated for me from all these events of 2007.  First, a positive mindset is imperative when battling a health issue; and second, the best path to success comes through collaboration with others.

Here is a wish for each of you who make Citizen Brand a part of your world to have a happy, healthy and collaborative 2008.  And, find a cause that you haven't been involved in yet to lend a hand to in the new year.  Happy New Year!
